| What Are We?
Vanderkamp
Center is a
year round camp and conference center, as well as a home away from home
for families and individuals who want to enjoy the beauty of God's
marvelous
creation.
Some, who
come as part
of conference or retreat groups, conduct their own program and choose
to
enjoy meals provided by our excellent food service, while benefiting
from
other services that we provide within settings of natural wonder.
Some come
with family
and some alone for a time away.
Many come
for summer
camping programs that we provide for children and youth.
We are an
ideal setting
for any group.

Our goal at Vanderkamp Center
is to create
and support an environment where groups and individuals can accomplish
their own goals. We are willing to put together a package that will
help
you do this.
|
| Who Are We?
Vanderkamp
Center is a not-for-profit organization operated by the Ecumenical Camp
Association: a joint project of the Upstate New York Synod of the
Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America and the Cayuga-Syracuse and Utica
Presbyteries
of the Presbyterian Church USA. Our mission is threefold:
- To provide
space and support for Education, ReCreation, and Self Growth.
- To provide
a space where people can deepen their relationship with God and God's
creation.
- To allow groups
to accomplish their own goals and purposes in a supportive and
naturally
beautiful environment.

|
| What Is Our
Attraction?
1,200 acres of gently rolling
land surround
Vanderkamp Center's 46 acre lake.
Open fields, woodlands, a
reforested plantation,
trout streams, and beaver ponds highlight our natural richness.
| Experience a walk
through the woods and you
may encounter many species of wildlife - rabbits, mink, wild turkey,
ducks,
geese, porcupines, raccoons, and owls.
Enjoy walking amid the
wonders of nature, the
magnificent trees, the beautiful plant life, the running streams; or
sit
by the lake and listen to the sounds of nature.
|
 |
|
 |
In winter, cross
country ski along our
trails; in summer, swim in the refreshing waters of our lake; in spring
and fall, watch nature come to life, and then move toward rest in the
blazing
colors of autumn.
|
 |
Vanderkamp Center's aesthetic
views are awe inspiring.
It's a wonderful place to relax, think, learn, and grow. Spend a
day, weekend, or a week in the beautiful natural surroundings, away
from
the noises and distractions of everyday life.
Set within this natural wonder
are five lodges,
six log cabins, the Commons with dining for up to 250 people, and many
meeting places. Add to this all the services we provide and you are in
store for a wonderful experience.
Historic Vanderkamp Center - a
marvelous place
to be! A marvelous place to explore!
