Vanderkamp Classic Camps 2008

When we think “camp,” we think of classic experiences in the outdoors. The serenity of gliding across the water in a canoe, roasting marshmallows over a fire, a refreshing swim in the lake, exciting group games, good food, exploring many activities, and the opportunity to begin, renew, or strengthen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Vanderkamp offers an experience that includes:

     a unique selection of programs;
     the opportunity to grow as an individual discovering new interests and budding
          independence, developing new skills, and making new friends;
     renewal, recreation, and relaxation;
     spiritual growth and faith formation in an accepting Christian atmosphere;
     enjoying nature and God’s creation in a safe environment;
     exemplars of the Christian community,
          some of the best friends your child will make at camp -- our summer staff;
      building a new community and knowing they belong.

Campers experience a variety of our fabulous activities -- they don’t just hear about something, they do it! Whether it’s “commanding” their kayak on a trip across the lake, hitting the bullseye in archery, reeling in a smallmouth bass, or working with their team on the challenge course, they find they can accomplish new goals and have more fun than they dreamed possible in a week or two!
