Family Camp Fun Last Summer
With all of the fun and excitement during our summer camp, we think it’s incredibly important to not forget the real reasons we all make the trip back to Vanderkamp each summer. Sure, it’s fun to use the bouncer on the lake, or act like a swamp thing and cover yourself in seaweed…but first and foremost, it’s all about relationships. During family camp, Amboy Belle Isle Presbyterian Church brought 11 people out for a vacation Bible camp, and they saw the awesome power of God moving through the entire week. People of all ages got together and decided to show radical love, understanding, and hospitality toward one another. People came from as far south as Princeton, NJ and as far north as Toronto, Canada to enjoy family camp, and they weren’t disappointed! There are many camps out there for you to choose from this summer. They all have a lot of fun things going on. At Vanderkamp, we know that while having fun is important, the one thing you’ll never forget is the friends you make here.
Vanderkamp is a retreat center and Christian summer camp located near Syracuse, NY. We run 6 weeks of summer camp for kids, and a week of Family camp at the end of the summer. In 2012, it’s happening from August 11th-August 15th. We hope to see you there! Click here to register today!
