Group Building and Team Initiatives
Group Building for Retreat Groups
Group building exercises are crucial not just for summer camp, but for any group of people who wants to learn more about what makes them tick, trust each other more, and flex their creative muscles in a unique setting.
With more than 10 years of experience in group-building initiatives, James Davis can lead your retreat group through any number of activities that are both fun and rewarding. If your retreat group exceeds a size that James can comfortably accommodate, his wife Taylor was the Ropes director for the biggest Presbyterian Camp East of the Mississippi!
At Vanderkamp, we have dozens of pre-designed initiatives that can meet the needs of your group. James will consult with you to construct a program that will address whatever you think is most important. Has your company merged with another, and trust has become an issue within your department? We’ve got more activities that address the issue of trust than we can count. Having trouble working together to creatively to address your company’s position in a changing economy? Group-building initiatives will get people thinking about how to work together to creatively solve problems – and the discussions afterward will give takeaways that can be taken right back to the office. A group of students that has trouble with cliques? Not a problem – not in the slightest. Does your family just want to have fun and try to accomplish something together? Certainly, we can do that too.
We also have a low ropes course with several elements to challenge your group – from the Wild Woosey to the Mohawk Walk, to the Tire Traverse to the cross-cables… hours of fun and learning can be had just by heading 1/5 a mile into the woods.
If your group wants to address something that we don’t have the perfect activity for, we’ll put our heads together and use our years of experience and our own creativity to come up with something that’s just right for you. Our group-building initiatives program is a tremendous value while it’s still in its pilot stages. Any kids who come to Vanderkamp for our summer camp program have access to these things as well, so don’t be afraid of missing out if you’re coming here this summer!
