New Director
We are pleased to announce that James Davis has been hired as Director of Program and Marketing for Vanderkamp. We are excited to introduce James and the skills he brings as we develop Vanderkamp to its full potential of serving God by providing facilities and opportunities for individuals and groups to Relate to God, Renew faith and Respond in service.
James grew up in East Windsor, NJ, was baptized at the Nassau Presbyterian Church and confirmed at the Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church. His experience comes from Johnsonburg Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center in New Jersey, where he worked for 8
years in a number of roles, including counselor and naturalist for 5 years, director for 3 years, and the board of trustees for 2 years. James met his wife Taylor at Johnsonburg. They were married in 2008, and their son, Oliver, was born in June of 2010. James says, “this summer we’ll be focusing on letting campers find themselves in Christ, and feel comfortable just being themselves. We couldn’t be more excited to tie our lives to Vanderkamp and help to further such a wonderful mission!”
For the Ecumenical Camp Association (ECA) Board, this is also a step in implementing the Master Plan recommendation of a program and marketing position at Vanderkamp. We are anxious for you to meet James and his family in the near future. We will work together so Vanderkamp becomes all that we want it to be and all that God calls it to be.
