Items needed for Summer Camp and Retreat Center

Things have been improving rapidly up here at Vanderkamp. You may have read about our Spring work day, or our community farming project, and you’re wondering how to get involved. As we’ve transitioned to a new staff, we’ve uncovered a lot of needs that we have for supplies, from basic things, to more in depth ones. If you’d like to support vanderkamp with monetary donations for any of these items, that would be fantastic. If you happen to have any of these items lying around, we would love to accept them as a tax-deductible donation! We’re also happy to come out and pick stuff up, just let us know.

For Nick’s Maintenance Needs:
Pick-up Truck
Power tools
Hand tools
Good vacuums
Soldering equipment
Wood working tools
High efficiency washer
High efficiency dryer
Insulation
Grills
Maple syrup equipment
wheel barrows
gas stove/ovens
3/4″ plywood for barn floor
lumber treated and untreated

For James’ retreat and summer camp programming needs, we could use:

Retreat needs:
Double beds, Twin beds, bunk beds
Table lamps
End tables
Area rugs
Bath Mats(2′x3′)
Ice Machine

Summer Camp needs
Kickballs
Art supplies: friendship bracelet thread, boondoggle, paint, markers, yarn, pipe cleaners, paint brushes, face paint – really, ANYTHING artsy or craftsy would be fantastic!
Goggles
Any sort of wacky costume/hats/dress up stuff
Leather samples from Tandy leather for name tags
Rope/twine
Fishing poles

Facilities needs:
Flowering trees and shrubs
Fruit trees or shrubs
Berry bushes
Any plants – flowers or vegetables

We’re happy to drive to Syracuse, Rome, Utica, or anywhere in Central New York to pick things up if they are tough to move.
